Top Five Steps to Have More Money as a Stripper

Stripper money management

Print this out and use it every night!

Today we are going to talk about how you manage your money, from the time you count it at the end of your shift to the time it leaves your hands when you buy something!  How much should you save?  How much should you put towards bills?  Or Taxes?  How much should you tip out?  How can you build credit to buy things like a car or rent a nice apartmentAll of these questions will be answered TODAY in a simple 5-step strategy you can hang in your locker or on your refrigerator to reference every day!

I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for exotic dancer development all over the world.

We’re going to dive head first into the five things you need to do now to start saving money and investing in your future.

1.  Count:  Count all of your money after your shift. This is your GROSS income.  Keep this in your records every evening.  At the end of the night when everyone is tallying up their dollars earned, don’t be caught unorganized or by surprise.  Have a way to organize your money as you go as the evening moves along, in an envelope in your locker or divided in your purse.  Crumpled up dollars and unorganized cash can disappear fast!

2.  Tip:  Tip Out Approx 15% of your total income to your other staff like bouncers, DJ’s, House Moms, Valet, and any other applicable staff.  Record the total amount you tip out DAILY in your records.  Also include any house fees as a business expense and save all of your receipts.  I have been rewarded greatly as an exotic dancer by generously tipping out the bouncers and DJ’s that worked with me at my home club because they always sent high value clientele my way.  If you develop partnerships with the other staff at your club, the tipping out becomes a lot more fun because it is money that you have earned with someone together – much more than one person can do on their own!  Everyone wins this way!

On the other hand, Tipping out is not done just because, “that’s the way that this business works!”  Tipping out is done to reward good work! No one is entitled to receive a tip out, nor are they entitled to an attitude against tipping out!  Tipping out should be scaled according to the amount of work that is done for the entertainer in addition to the percentage of an entertainer’s income.  This is commission sales after all!  Incentives always motivate people to do their best work!  With this method the customer will win because dancers and staff will be motivated to help each other, which is in turn helping the customer!

Build Wealth as a Stripper

This can be YOU if you heed my words!

By Jennifer McCumber Today we’re going to dive into our series on how to accumulate wealth as a stripper instead of going broke and having nothing to show for it in the end!

I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for exotic dancer education all over the world.

So Let’s roll up our sleeves!

If you were unlucky like most of us and started without money, wealth may seem totally out of your grasp. In reality, there are two simple, reliable rules to gaining wealth.

Rule 1: Have no debt. (Pay cash, not interest)

Rule 2: Spend less than you make.

I am no genius of course.  I’m educated, but I don’t have a degree in economics or business, and I don’t have a new brilliant idea. But I HAVE accumulated wealth and I know how to help you do the same. How would you like to wake up wealthy? Well, that ain’t gonna happen – Yet! But, someday you will be able to wake up wealthy if you heed my words.

So, What does a millionaire look like? If you were suddenly a millionaire tomorrow, what would you do differently? How would you dress, act, where would you go and what would you do? You might be surprised to find out that most millionaires really aren’t that different from everyone else. In their book, “The Millionaire Next Door,” Thomas J. Stanley, Ph.D. and William D. Danko, Ph.D. tell us exactly what an average millionaire looks like:

How Strippers Earn Their Money Inside the Strip Club

I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for dancer education at clubs across the world to help today’s dancers become tomorrow’s leaders.

You may ask, “How do I get paid as a stripper inside the strip club? How much does the average dancer make in a night? How does this whole business work?” I will answer your first and most basic questions in this video.

Each club works differently, so it is important to understand how this whole process will work for you before you start working. If you have to get a manager to explain it to you a couple of times, don’t feel stupid. Ask questions until you understand specifically how your strip club will be like or dislike from the following four.

There are four common ways that you will get paid as a stripper.

strip club money

You'll be putting more cash in your g-string by following this blog!

1.  Cash from a Client for a Lap Dance

After sitting with a customer for a bit you can move things along by saying, “I would love to give you the most erotic time possible on this next song.” If he says yes, you proceed to give him a lap dance, then try to sell more than one, and then just keep going until he asks you to stop.

After you are done, you will tell him how much he owes, and he will pay you right then. Have a change purse handy that you watch like a hawk. Some clubs will let you keep your cash on the side of your G-string and wrap it with a rubber band. Just keep your cash on you, or close by where you can see it at all times.

For instance, if a lap dance is $25, you may have to give the club a cut – say, $7 of it. Many clubs let you keep all of your money from dances. You can also state your price, “plus tip,” as it is customary for customers to tip you on top of what a dance costs. Don’t be greedy, though; some clients get offended when you ask for a tip, so feel out the situation.

At my club, the price of a lap dance was $15, but it was generally customary for the client to give $20 across the board. So if you have a client that doesn’t seem to know what is going on or is new to the scene, just say “$15 plus a sexy tip!” in a bubbly way and they will do it. I would just charge the customer $20, however, it was against my club’s policy to jack up the prices so when in doubt, just tell them the actual price and be honest. Let them know what the deal is and that most people just give you $20.

Make More Money by Enticing Your Customers with a little Erotic History

history of exotic dance

Some things never change!

From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through college, erotic dance has saved many women’s lives, careers, and even their children from the alternative of moms loosing their homes and even their jobs in this economy.  All without having to compromise their moral values like in much of the infamous myths about this profession!

Erotic dance has been around since the beginning of mankind as part of many religious ceremonies. It appears to have begun as far back as the Cro–Magnon era. Historically, Ancient Babylon, India, the Orient, and the Middle East have practiced goddess worship in the form of erotic dancing rituals as part of their cultures’ religious worship. Evidence can be seen in pagan rituals such as dancing around the Maypole.

Exotic Dancing has been recorded in countries like ancient Egypt, Syria, and Turkey. In some cultures dance was performed for entertainment purposes, and in others, to appease the gods. In Egypt, dances were performed for the fertility goddess, Hathor, and in Greece, Aphrodite.

Misbelieves and Truths on How to Become a Stripper

There are some misbeliefs that we need to burst before we immerse ourselves in further discussion of exotic dancing.

stripper money

There are some things that are more valuable than money.

Misbelief Number One: All exotic dancers are prostitutes who trade sexual favors for money.   This dangerous and offensive myth is absolutely and positively not true. In every profession, there are promiscuous women, and exotic dancing is no exception. However, there are an abundance of educated and respectable women – wives, virgins, moms and deeply religious women – in this and all other industries.

Much of this issue depends on what club you choose. If it is a high–end club with strict rules, you will have far less “funny business” going on. Most dancers I know are absolutely against prostitution; they simply dance, talk and entertain, just like I did. You do not have to do anything intimately sexual to be successful and make a ton of money dancing. Just conjure the illusion of fantasy and sex appeal by using your creativity!

One thing you have to remember as a dancer is that you provide what I like to call The Human Experience. Men don’t come to clubs just for alcohol because they can get that at their local liquor store. They don’t come to clubs just for a lap dance, either, because if they want to see naked women they could pick up an issue of Playboy for much less. What they come to the club for is to experience that human interaction with a live, warm, smiling female with personality (and a nice body) to talk to and to make them feel special.

How being an Exotic Dancer PAYS Better than a Real J.O.B

From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through college, exotic dancing has saved many women’s lives, careers, and even their children from the alternative of moms loosing their homes and even their jobs in this economy.  I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for dancer development at clubs across the country as well as online.

Without realizing it, some would say that determining what you are most passionate about in life is easy. That couldn’t be further from the truth for most of us. The reason?

exotic dancers being passionate

A deep passion will tap into your soul.

It’s simple.

You’re so caught up in routine day-to-day activities and keeping your head above water with your current (or could be your former non-stripping!) J-O-B (Just Over Broke), that you hardly have time to catch up when you do have a little free time, to the point that your underlying spirit and passions are being subdued and covered up, like a blanket while you sleep, keeping you warm and comfortable, but not happy.

Sure, I know what you’re thinking right now:

“Jennifer, I know I’m passionate about my kids, my family – I love my J-O-B, etc., etc.”

The truth of the matter is that, while some of that may be true – obviously we love our family, friends and some of the activities that we take part in – our true passion, and what I am about to get you to reveal about yourself, is something else entirely.

I’m talking about a selfish Passion – a need to align with your true self, with what you love doing, and what you would do if you had no burdens or responsibilities in your life right this second.  Something that a career as an exotic dancer can give you the time and money to do on your own.

strippers and money

If you consistently save your money instead of blowing it on depreciating assets like cars and clothes, you will be able to buy whatever you want in just a few short years without the worry of being broke NOW!

From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through college, exotic dancing has saved many women’s lives, careers, and even their children from the alternative of their moms loosing their homes and even their jobs in this economy.  I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for dancer development at clubs across the country as well as online.

I want to take the time to address some very serious issues here today in Strip School. Before you can be successful at exotic dancing – or at life in general – there are some key points that you must consider about your money. No one else will be able to teach you this unless they have years of business experience. Even then, over 80% of businesses fail within their first five years. Stay with me – this video along with my Freedom V program will enlighten you beyond belief. You will learn things that only a very elite crowd in the entire world know.

I had a self-limiting belief that all I really needed monetarily in life was to be able to shop at Wal-Mart and grind away paying off little amounts of debt each month and “rewarding” myself with the occasional dinner out or trip every few years.

Now mind you, these weren’t actually purposeful thoughts (who in their right mind doesn’t want to make more money?), but thoughts lying just beneath the conscious level. Thoughts from my friends, parents, co-workers – from society as a whole. The thoughts of mediocrity that we are all brainwashed to have from birth.

My Stripping Stories and How Women Today are Approaching Pole Dancing as a Career

Pole Dancer Stripper

Exotic Dancing isn't as bad as the stigmas would have you believe!

Many of my Stripping Stories on how women today are approaching pole dancing as a career will shock you – including my own. From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through college, you will learn why pole dancing has saved so many women’s lives, careers, their homes, and even their children from the alternative of loosing their homes and their jobs in this economy. The underworld of exotic dancing has emerged from a maze of mystery and misconception into the mainstream with media coverage from respected sources such as CNBC, OWN, FOX news and more.

The first time the opportunity to try exotic dancing was presented to me after I graduated from college at age 25, I swore I would never do such a thing. I thought it was wrong – dirty, unhealthy and unsafe. It was, perhaps surprisingly, my fiance who suggested it to me after he had consulted with one of our dancer friends about the cleanliness and high standards of our local business club. He knew I was on the “30-year mortgage plan” with my student loans and credit card debt, and he wanted to empower me.  But – the point here is – like so many closed minded individuals today, I had never been to a club and I automatically assumed that it was nothing but pimping, whoring and drug use. I was abhorred at the suggestion and shot it down rather quickly.

Reluctantly we went to our local club and started talking to one of the bouncers. The bouncer thought we were really cool so he went and got the head manager. The manager could see that we were serious and professional, and finally he asked me, “What can I do to get you on my stage?” I was flabbergasted!  I thought the prospective dancers asked him that question!  Come to find out they do – but I stood out somehow.

The Top 10 Mistakes that Exotic Dancers Make in Their Clubs

Any attractive lady can be an exotic dancer!

Exotic Dancers come from all walks of life!

Exotic Dancers are certainly a special group of ladies!  You work so hard every night — hoping that you can make something of your life, provide for yourself and a family, pay your way through school, fund a business or other hobbies, and ultimately– you want to be someone. In my previous post entitled, How to Decide Whether or Not You Should Become an Exotic Dancer, I talked about some of the pitfalls and pros of the trade and how to steer clear of making the most common mistakes that most strippers make.

This post adds to the concept of avoiding mistakes to make your career much more profitable.  Night after night during my exotic dancing career I saw entertainers making the following 10 mistakes and it hit them right where it counts every time – their pocket book!  They would go home broke, frustrated, or knowing they could have done way better.  However, they kept repeating their mistakes not knowing what they were doing wrong.

Without further ado, you will find the top 10 mistakes that entertainers make belowI’ve committed my fair share of these myself and I am resolutely determined to help YOU to avoid the following heartache that will make you unsatisfied with your career and make your club want to fire you!

Exotic Dancers are sophisticated

Don't be so serious - have some fun with your exotic dancing career!

1. Don’t talk about yourself and your problems with customers.  The customer wants a fantasy experience of admiration, fun and erotic appeal.  Your customers don’t pay a cover charge, rack up a drink tab, and purchase lap dances to hear about more problems! They have enough of those already!  They come to a club to escape reality and find an attractive lady to talk to and interact with who is somewhat intelligent, happy, and maintains a sense of humor!

The Solution:  Do a voluntary exercise –find a customer, go up to them and introduce yourself with a firm handshake and eye contact, and then sit there with that customer and find out about THEM.  Get THE CUSTOMER talking by asking them questions.  Then watch the dollars come in as the cares of the world are washed away by you instead of being enlarged by you!  It’s a tough nut to break but if you are willing to take the risk to break or avoid bad habits the results will be life changing for you.  I’ve personally witnessed the transformation many times.
