I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for dancer education at clubs across the world to help today’s dancers become tomorrow’s leaders.

You may ask, “How do I get paid as a stripper inside the strip club? How much does the average dancer make in a night? How does this whole business work?” I will answer your first and most basic questions in this video.

Each club works differently, so it is important to understand how this whole process will work for you before you start working. If you have to get a manager to explain it to you a couple of times, don’t feel stupid. Ask questions until you understand specifically how your strip club will be like or dislike from the following four.

There are four common ways that you will get paid as a stripper.

strip club money

You'll be putting more cash in your g-string by following this blog!

1.  Cash from a Client for a Lap Dance

After sitting with a customer for a bit you can move things along by saying, “I would love to give you the most erotic time possible on this next song.” If he says yes, you proceed to give him a lap dance, then try to sell more than one, and then just keep going until he asks you to stop.

After you are done, you will tell him how much he owes, and he will pay you right then. Have a change purse handy that you watch like a hawk. Some clubs will let you keep your cash on the side of your G-string and wrap it with a rubber band. Just keep your cash on you, or close by where you can see it at all times.

For instance, if a lap dance is $25, you may have to give the club a cut – say, $7 of it. Many clubs let you keep all of your money from dances. You can also state your price, “plus tip,” as it is customary for customers to tip you on top of what a dance costs. Don’t be greedy, though; some clients get offended when you ask for a tip, so feel out the situation.

At my club, the price of a lap dance was $15, but it was generally customary for the client to give $20 across the board. So if you have a client that doesn’t seem to know what is going on or is new to the scene, just say “$15 plus a sexy tip!” in a bubbly way and they will do it. I would just charge the customer $20, however, it was against my club’s policy to jack up the prices so when in doubt, just tell them the actual price and be honest. Let them know what the deal is and that most people just give you $20.

Four Steps to Audition at a Strip Club and Get Hired as an Exotic Dancer

I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for exotic dancer development at clubs across the country as well as online.

Here are a few basic steps to help you get started with the hiring AND the auditioning process at your chosen strip club!

Stripper OutfitsStep One:  Go shopping for a few basic outfits that compliment your figure.

If you can, take a man and/or girlfriend with you who will give you their honest opinion. You could also find an employee at your local lingerie or adult store to help you. You will need 4-6 inch heels – but make sure they are comfortable. You may also need medical tape to wrap your feet underneath where the shoes will likely chafe, to prevent certain spots from getting chafed and blistered the first night.

Always have an extra G-string or thong on you as well, along with a full backup outfit. Make sure you ask your manager what types of G-strings they allow.

Make sure that if you do not have your driver’s license and social security card or birth certificate with you at your interview, that you do have it at your audition, or before the first shift that you work; by law the club will need to make copies of these documents. Be sure you get your originals back, and store them under lock and key!

Rick Santorum: Please Go Home! A Stripper’s Guide to Sorting Through the Current Political Mess.

Mar 29 2012

Rick Santorum Stripper Hater

When you start preaching your way or the highway is when people start making Hitler drawings of you!

Is it any wonder that most people who are involved in the gentlemen’s club industry stand for freedom of social democratic choice?  It is people like Rick Santorum that are ruining it for the GOP right now.  And for any inkling of support from the adult nightclub industry!  They are so busy talking about “God’s Law” and what people should and shouldn’t be doing on their free time that they are completely eclipsing their audience’s view of the economy and national security.

We’re starting to think that they have a “Holy War” agenda instead of a “Let’s get this country back on track so we don’t end up bankrupt and rioting like Europe” agenda.  From the moderate and liberal side of the political spectrum, people are screaming to “VOTE DEMOCRAT!” because their adult industry businesses “would be in jeopardy with a GOP president” that can appoint conservative supreme court judges who could therefore rule against strip clubs because of their religious bias when it comes down to case law, taxing and regulating in the court room.

Exotic Dancers may be considered “sluts” by some staunch conservative older judges, putting clubs at risk to look bad in the courtroom – but – what some attorneys and business men DON’T know is that they are putting their businesses and their country in much greater jeopardy, not by being Democrat, but by voting for THIS particular democratic presidential candidate, Barack Obama.

Here’s Why.

Romney will end Obamacare. Obama won’t.

Romney will cut spending sharply. Obama will increase it.

Romney will block grant Medicaid and food stamps and stop their growth. Obama won’t.

Romney will cut income taxes. Obama will raise them.

Romney will stop EPA regulation of carbon dioxide. Obama will step it up.

Romney will stop the NLRB from forcing unionization. Obama will continue it.

Romney will do all he can to help Israel stop Iranian nukes. Obama won’t.

Romney will crack down on Chinese currency manipulation. Obama is afraid to.

Romney will starve Chavez by curtailing purchase of his oil. Obama won’t.

Romney won’t bow to the Saudi monarch. Obama did.

Romney will restore defense cuts. Obama will disarm us.

Romney will approve Keystone and off shore drilling. Obama won’t.

Romney will push for school vouchers and choice. Obama killed it in D.C..

Romney will not cut Medicare to finance Obamacare. Obama is.

Romney will reform Medicare by using competition. Obama won’t.

Romney will stop debasing the dollar by printing more and more. Obama will print money.

Romney will encourage photo id laws. Obama will veto them.

Romney will appoint anti-terrorists to the Justice Department. Obama does the opposite.

Romney will call Islamic terrorists, Islamic terrorists. Obama doesn’t.

Romney will reduce the capital gains tax. Obama will increase it.

Romney will turn America around. Obama hasn’t, won’t and can’t. (More Dick Morris Commentary Here)

Adult nightclub industry friends and colleagues: if you need more factual proof, relative to your business, why Romney will in fact be an asset to our country and our businesses (because he will win the primary, not Santorum) vs. how Obama will continue to be a national liability and threat to the very lifestyle we call the American dream, keep reading…

Choosing the Right Strip Club as an Exotic Dancer

Choosing your strip club is one of the most important business decisions you will make as an exotic dancer. Your club will determine which customers you will be marketing yourself to and how much income potential you will have. I would recommend finding the top three strip clubs in your city as your highest priority. Some jurisdictions have laws against gentlemen’s clubs, so you may find they are just outside of your city limits or county line. Once you locate your local clubs, be cautious in choosing which ones you want to work in.

There are three types of strip clubs and I only suggest working in the top two categories of establishments:

1.  Upscale Gentlemen’s Clubs
2.  Neighborhood Men’s Clubs
3.  Lower Tier “Titty Bars.”

Upscale Strip Clubs will have a high-end clientele. Club services and alcohol will be pricier than the alternatives. There is often a membership requirement as well. This is great because the more money the client is spending, the more money you will make. In my opinion, it is always best to work at a high-end club. If you watch this video series and abide by it, you will quickly become the top exotic dancer at your club, so settling for working in a lower-end club – even in bad economic times – is not necessary. In every business, the top 20% of earners will make 80% of the money.

Why Exotic Dancers Should Vote the Conservative Ticket in the Presidential Election of 2012

Exotic Dancers for President!

Now doesn't this make politics a lot more fun? ;-)

Who are you thinking about voting for in the election of 2012?  That is a very personal question and one meant for your personal reflection rather than public acknowledgement.  Since this will be the most important presidential election of our time most likely – I have felt the need to reveal some riveting stories, facts, and unique perspective as politics greatly affects the survival of our exotic dancer industry – and how much money you can bring home as a stripper!

When I was in college and in my early twenties, I was as liberal as liberal could be.  I was part of the new “social media liberal arts college movement” that was harkening the arrival of what would be Barack Obama, our agent of change.  I remember when his book, The Audacity of Hope, came out about one to two years before he ran for president.  I read it ferociously, agreeing with the ideologies of leading with fairness for all.

The reason?  Simply this:  I was rebelling against hypocritical religious dogma, judgmental social circles, and closed-minded individuals that told me how to run my life.  I was brought up in extremist churches where drinking, dancing, and watching rated R movies was a sin.  Sex before marriage was a sin.  Listening to secular music was sinful as well.

liberal vs concervative

This is what the media, my friends, and some of my college professors told me about how being liberal was different than being conservative - and I fell for it!

I became a music major and surrounded myself with the creative, the dramatic and the liberal.  I began to abhor people who looked down on homosexuals, women’s choice, and a plethora of other things that seemed to be fun to do in college!

I was dating a guy at the time who proclaimed he would vote for Hillary Clinton and take advantage of government programs.  He was the kind of guy that wanted to milk “the system” if he could.  He could never keep a consistent job.  He always quit everything he started.

Even though I developed these strong political beliefs as a twenty-something year old, I didn’t have the slightest clue about what national debt meant.  I even had one of my graduate school classmates tell me that the national deficit wasn’t a big deal – and that people blow it out of proportion as to how it affects us as individuals in this country.

I hadn’t the slightest idea what stock market values and tax rates meant.  I always made below $20k per year working part time in college to pay my living expenses as I had an academic scholarship that paid for a large portion of my education.

I always thought that the stock market and tax rates would have little to do with me!  After all, I wasn’t some company on Wall Street or part of the percentage of the population that gets taxed 35% of their income, not including whatever their state income tax was.  I grew up in Florida, which doesn’t have state income tax so I didn’t even know that state income tax existed – and must be filed on a separate form from federal income tax.

Strip School and How it Empowers You to Make Good Choices

From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through college, strip school has saved many women’s lives, careers, and even their children from the alternative of moms loosing their homes and even their jobs in this economy.  I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for dancer development at clubs across the country as well as online.

Let me ask you something. Do you have a certain group of people you tend to hang out with more often than not, be they friends, family, or business associates? Would you say you are “comfortable” with them? Sometimes to your detriment? Who you hang out with, what you watch, what you listen to and what you surround yourself with, all matters!

Strippers gossiping

Don't get caught in the gossip and negativity in the exotic world. Stay FOCUSED on making your money to better your life!

Think about the people around you and some of their actions, and things that they have said or might say in the future. The saboteurs, for example, who ask us to eat out with them when we are trying to remain strict on our meal plan. Or the friendly phone call telling you not to bother with whatever it is you are doing because you’ll probably fail anyway.  The gossip.  The blaming other people.  The downers.  The underachievers.

The “friend” who asks how you are doing, but really can’t wait to talk about themselves. I could go on and on, but I know that you know exactly what I’m talking about!

There’s a subconscious layer of fear within all of us, and it lies in the grass like a snake waiting to bite us when we least expect it. That fear leads people to act in strange ways towards us, often resulting in actions that go against their words. Their fear of losing you – of your changing who you are – of your bettering yourself and securing your financial future – scares the living hell out of them – and that fear manifests itself in very destructive and negative ways.

How to Decide Whether or Not You Should Become an Exotic Dancer

Dec 25 2011
By :
stripper with money g string

Financial Freedom is a matter of what you do with the $100's in your g-string!

Becoming an exotic dancer is a wonderful opportunity to take control of your own life financially, emotionally, and physically.  It requires no college education and many women become exotic dancers to pay their way through college.  From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through school, pole dancing has saved so many women’s lives, careers, their homes, and even their children from the alternative of loosing their homes and their jobs in this economy.

The underworld of exotic dancing has emerged from a maze of mystery and misconception into the mainstream with media coverage from respected sources such as CNBC, OWN, FOX news and more.  Unfortunately, every time a stripper says or does something “stupid” or “irresponsible” it ends up on the news and that hurts the “perception” of the industry.  Few good stories have ever been reported but they amount to many all across the country and over the world.  You will get the truth here!

The ultimate determining factor in Exotic Dancing’s credibility is the fact that there is a major chain of clubs that is publicly traded on NASDAQ – Rick’s Cabaret International.  If exotic dancing was illegal and tangled in an underworld of drugs and crime, the FTC would have never allowed this company to become publicly traded.

I’ve been asked by my readers to create a video on how to decide if exotic dancing is for them.  With all of the popularity and power you have as an exotic dancer it is as easy as ever to fall into the typical banes of society that fame and fortune from ANY industry bring you when you come into it quickly, including drugs, alcohol addiction and unprotected or irresponsible sex.  Just think of how some actors, musicians and professional athletes have fallen into this lifestyle.  It is because anytime people have monetary gain quickly they don’t appreciate the value of it as much, and can resort to irresponsible behavior that is not conducive to their overall success.  This is called the Lottery Winner’s Syndrome.

Master Your Conversation: How to Sell Lap Dances and Champagne Rooms Part 7

Nov 12 2011
By :

Let’s face it—the better you are at maintaining a good conversation, the more money you will make at your club. This will also set you apart from the other dancers. There is a vast array of beautiful women walking around; you need to have more than just looks. Personality goes very far in this business.

Here are some tips for conversing successfully with your client:

1.  Listen. The key to being a great conversationalist is not about what you say, but what you don’t. Being a good listener is what it’s all about. Your client should be doing fully three-quarters of the talking, and you should be there for him all the way, helping him talk and skillfully guiding the conversation. Let him know you are listening by smiling, nodding, or commenting appropriately. Don’t let your mind wander or you will miss important cues and information you can use to make sales. By listening well to your client, not only will he have the experience he came to the club for (and possibly become one of your regulars as a result) but by listening and paying attention you will learn everything you need to know to make your ultimate sales with him. He will remember you as fascinating and captivating. Most importantly, he will remember you.

How Mirroring Can Sell Lap Dances and VIPs – Part 6

Nov 8 2011
By :

Mirroring is a basic and subtle human tendency to copy another’s expression, movements or posture during conversation or other direct forms of communication.

When people are talking, or simply sharing an experience together, they will often mimic each other’s posture, movements, vocal inflection, or even words or phrases. This subtle show of affinity is called “mirroring,” and though most people are not even aware of performing this social ritual, most people do it quite naturally and consistently. As an exotic dancer, mirroring is a tool that you can become aware of and adept at using to your advantage.

Mirroring is like a communication dance. Participants match gestures and responses during their conversation, as if in a dance. People do this naturally with both their silent body language and spoken words.

How to Sell Lap Dances and Champagne Rooms Part 5: How Flirting Can Make You Money!

Oct 30 2011
By :

Probably one of the most effective – as well as most enjoyable – ways to show someone you are attracted to them is through the seductive art of flirting. It is a vital part of engaging your client in conversation, which I cover in detail in Freedom V, and it can be expressed though words, touch, posture, movement, or even a look. Flirting is one of the few means of communicating erotic interest while maintaining social propriety. Often the greatest power you can command through flirting is the ability to be subtle yet undeniable in your approach.

Sometimes flirting is done among friends as well, just to tell each other that they care.  It is very important to show that you are interested in your client because it’s one of men’s basic needs– to be admired and appreciated for who they are and what they do.

Here Are Some Of My Top Flirting Techniques:
