strippers and money

If you consistently save your money instead of blowing it on depreciating assets like cars and clothes, you will be able to buy whatever you want in just a few short years without the worry of being broke NOW!

From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through college, exotic dancing has saved many women’s lives, careers, and even their children from the alternative of their moms loosing their homes and even their jobs in this economy.  I’m Jennifer McCumber, author of Freedom V, feature columnist for ED Publications Magazine and I’m leading the movement for dancer development at clubs across the country as well as online.

I want to take the time to address some very serious issues here today in Strip School. Before you can be successful at exotic dancing – or at life in general – there are some key points that you must consider about your money. No one else will be able to teach you this unless they have years of business experience. Even then, over 80% of businesses fail within their first five years. Stay with me – this video along with my Freedom V program will enlighten you beyond belief. You will learn things that only a very elite crowd in the entire world know.

I had a self-limiting belief that all I really needed monetarily in life was to be able to shop at Wal-Mart and grind away paying off little amounts of debt each month and “rewarding” myself with the occasional dinner out or trip every few years.

Now mind you, these weren’t actually purposeful thoughts (who in their right mind doesn’t want to make more money?), but thoughts lying just beneath the conscious level. Thoughts from my friends, parents, co-workers – from society as a whole. The thoughts of mediocrity that we are all brainwashed to have from birth.

exotic strip club

The best way to make informed decisions is to visit a reputable strip club yourself! Or tell the naysayers that...

Let’s be honest. Most of the American population does not attend gentlemen’s clubs, so they are completely in the dark about what really goes on in Exotic Stripping. Religious organizations are against them – but there is dirty business in every other industry that goes on in broad daylight, even at places that the average person believes to be respectable. Just look at the White House and Wall Street throughout their respective – if not respectable – histories!

I admit that I have made mistakes in exotic stripping just like anyone else makes mistakes when they are starting out in a new profession. Those mistakes come from not being confident and true to who you are. Some come from inexperience and being naïve. Thinking confidently and thinking outside of the box has allowed me personally to overcome any obstacles I have had to face. And that part is not easy, because too often we are our own worst enemies.

The key to being successful at exotic stripping – or anything else in life that will lead you to freedom beyond what most people ever have the pleasure of experiencing – is positive thinking. Think about how you can do something, not about why you can’t.

Jennifer McCumber how to be a stripper

Our Dancer Seminars are life changing - request a petition to have us come to your club!

Hi It’s Jennifer again and in our last video called, My Stripping Stories and How Women Today are Approaching Pole Dancing as a Career, we talked about how women today are approaching pole dancing as a profession and saving their lives, their jobs, their homes and even their children from the alternative of loosing their homes and their jobs in this economy.  And they aren’t just surviving, they are thriving on an amazing income that gives them the freedom to pay their bills, pay for their education, buy a nice home, a nice car and go on vacation!

You might say, Now wait a second – Do you expect me to actually take this kind of risk? To venture into a sleazy bar – dance in front of an audience – and then proceed to take my top off? That’s truly ludicrous!

But Wait – other than the fact that learning how to be a stripper is a respectable business in today’s world and that you don’t have to compromise your moral and ethical values that we talked about on our last video  – Can you think of any other profession that allows you to go from nothing – having no knowledge about the industry or any formal education at all – to being able to audition after simply watching my videos for an hour or two, and begin making hundreds of thousands of dollars the same day?

Pole Dancer Stripper

Exotic Dancing isn't as bad as the stigmas would have you believe!

Many of my Stripping Stories on how women today are approaching pole dancing as a career will shock you – including my own. From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through college, you will learn why pole dancing has saved so many women’s lives, careers, their homes, and even their children from the alternative of loosing their homes and their jobs in this economy. The underworld of exotic dancing has emerged from a maze of mystery and misconception into the mainstream with media coverage from respected sources such as CNBC, OWN, FOX news and more.

The first time the opportunity to try exotic dancing was presented to me after I graduated from college at age 25, I swore I would never do such a thing. I thought it was wrong – dirty, unhealthy and unsafe. It was, perhaps surprisingly, my fiance who suggested it to me after he had consulted with one of our dancer friends about the cleanliness and high standards of our local business club. He knew I was on the “30-year mortgage plan” with my student loans and credit card debt, and he wanted to empower me.  But – the point here is – like so many closed minded individuals today, I had never been to a club and I automatically assumed that it was nothing but pimping, whoring and drug use. I was abhorred at the suggestion and shot it down rather quickly.

Reluctantly we went to our local club and started talking to one of the bouncers. The bouncer thought we were really cool so he went and got the head manager. The manager could see that we were serious and professional, and finally he asked me, “What can I do to get you on my stage?” I was flabbergasted!  I thought the prospective dancers asked him that question!  Come to find out they do – but I stood out somehow.

The Top 10 Mistakes that Exotic Dancers Make in Their Clubs

Any attractive lady can be an exotic dancer!

Exotic Dancers come from all walks of life!

Exotic Dancers are certainly a special group of ladies!  You work so hard every night — hoping that you can make something of your life, provide for yourself and a family, pay your way through school, fund a business or other hobbies, and ultimately– you want to be someone. In my previous post entitled, How to Decide Whether or Not You Should Become an Exotic Dancer, I talked about some of the pitfalls and pros of the trade and how to steer clear of making the most common mistakes that most strippers make.

This post adds to the concept of avoiding mistakes to make your career much more profitable.  Night after night during my exotic dancing career I saw entertainers making the following 10 mistakes and it hit them right where it counts every time – their pocket book!  They would go home broke, frustrated, or knowing they could have done way better.  However, they kept repeating their mistakes not knowing what they were doing wrong.

Without further ado, you will find the top 10 mistakes that entertainers make belowI’ve committed my fair share of these myself and I am resolutely determined to help YOU to avoid the following heartache that will make you unsatisfied with your career and make your club want to fire you!

Exotic Dancers are sophisticated

Don't be so serious - have some fun with your exotic dancing career!

1. Don’t talk about yourself and your problems with customers.  The customer wants a fantasy experience of admiration, fun and erotic appeal.  Your customers don’t pay a cover charge, rack up a drink tab, and purchase lap dances to hear about more problems! They have enough of those already!  They come to a club to escape reality and find an attractive lady to talk to and interact with who is somewhat intelligent, happy, and maintains a sense of humor!

The Solution:  Do a voluntary exercise –find a customer, go up to them and introduce yourself with a firm handshake and eye contact, and then sit there with that customer and find out about THEM.  Get THE CUSTOMER talking by asking them questions.  Then watch the dollars come in as the cares of the world are washed away by you instead of being enlarged by you!  It’s a tough nut to break but if you are willing to take the risk to break or avoid bad habits the results will be life changing for you.  I’ve personally witnessed the transformation many times.

How to Decide Whether or Not You Should Become an Exotic Dancer

stripper with money g string

Financial Freedom is a matter of what you do with the $100's in your g-string!

Becoming an exotic dancer is a wonderful opportunity to take control of your own life financially, emotionally, and physically.  It requires no college education and many women become exotic dancers to pay their way through college.  From women who’ve worked on Wall Street to women paying their way through school, pole dancing has saved so many women’s lives, careers, their homes, and even their children from the alternative of loosing their homes and their jobs in this economy.

The underworld of exotic dancing has emerged from a maze of mystery and misconception into the mainstream with media coverage from respected sources such as CNBC, OWN, FOX news and more.  Unfortunately, every time a stripper says or does something “stupid” or “irresponsible” it ends up on the news and that hurts the “perception” of the industry.  Few good stories have ever been reported but they amount to many all across the country and over the world.  You will get the truth here!

The ultimate determining factor in Exotic Dancing’s credibility is the fact that there is a major chain of clubs that is publicly traded on NASDAQ – Rick’s Cabaret International.  If exotic dancing was illegal and tangled in an underworld of drugs and crime, the FTC would have never allowed this company to become publicly traded.

I’ve been asked by my readers to create a video on how to decide if exotic dancing is for them.  With all of the popularity and power you have as an exotic dancer it is as easy as ever to fall into the typical banes of society that fame and fortune from ANY industry bring you when you come into it quickly, including drugs, alcohol addiction and unprotected or irresponsible sex.  Just think of how some actors, musicians and professional athletes have fallen into this lifestyle.  It is because anytime people have monetary gain quickly they don’t appreciate the value of it as much, and can resort to irresponsible behavior that is not conducive to their overall success.  This is called the Lottery Winner’s Syndrome.

Lap Dances are a Worthy Art Form Both Physically and Legally

Jennifer McCumber Lap Dancing

And they're saying THIS doesn't take skills?!

We had the pleasure of making Bloomberg News in regards to the debate, “Is Lap Dancing Art?”   Just take a look at the pictures and videos in this blog post for your answer!  “Here’s Your Sign!”

This is what we told Bloomberg:  “To make a lap dance work, I had to combine concepts from gymnastics, things I learned from pole dancing, belly dancing I learned in college and even martial arts,” McCumber said in a telephone interview. “You have to have physical and mental agility to perform, while also making it seductive and alluring.”

A prominent dance anthropologist and professor at the University of Maryland who specializes in studying all types of dance, Judith Hanna, has stated:

“Exotic dance shares with virtually all dance genres the fact that it is a purposeful, intentionally rhythmical, culturally patterned, nonverbal, body movement communication in time and space.  It conveys meaning by the use of space, touch, proximity to an observer, nudity, stillness and specific body movements.”

Coming from an artistic education background myself, it is a shame that exotic dancing has been marginalized for the nudity it contains, as if nudity were bad in and of itself.  That’s like saying guns kill people.  I have news for you:  people kill people!  We are all born nude, we shower nude, we were walking around nude before people told us we had to do otherwise.  It is completely natural and evolved to be able to openly express nudity in art.  Nudity is contained in Operas, musicals, theater, most movies that you go and see, and it is all over cable TV.  So why is it that when it happens in real life in a gentlemen’s club, people get all bent out of shape?

Eric Langan, CEO of Rick’s Cabaret even states in the Bloomberg article

How Strippers Can Sell their Value and Customers Don’t Mind the Cost

Nov 30 2011
By :

YouTube Preview ImageValue selling simply means that you are selling the value of your services, and not the price point. This is the perfect tool to get your client’s mind off of how much money he will spend, and to focus on the benefit he is enjoying: YOU! This technique can be used to sell lap dances, between the transitions to getting multiple dances, and then off to the Champagne Room.

Value selling will take a little more time and is perfect when your club isn’t that busy. It is very effective with clients who can be readily identified as Prime Prospects: usually middle-aged to older gentlemen who are dressed well and who show all of the signs of being willing to spend money on you, such as buying you drinks within the first few minutes of sharing your company. The ways to identify a Whale were discussed in video one of this series.

Master Your Conversation: How to Sell Lap Dances and Champagne Rooms Part 7

Nov 12 2011
By :

Let’s face it—the better you are at maintaining a good conversation, the more money you will make at your club. This will also set you apart from the other dancers. There is a vast array of beautiful women walking around; you need to have more than just looks. Personality goes very far in this business.

Here are some tips for conversing successfully with your client:

1.  Listen. The key to being a great conversationalist is not about what you say, but what you don’t. Being a good listener is what it’s all about. Your client should be doing fully three-quarters of the talking, and you should be there for him all the way, helping him talk and skillfully guiding the conversation. Let him know you are listening by smiling, nodding, or commenting appropriately. Don’t let your mind wander or you will miss important cues and information you can use to make sales. By listening well to your client, not only will he have the experience he came to the club for (and possibly become one of your regulars as a result) but by listening and paying attention you will learn everything you need to know to make your ultimate sales with him. He will remember you as fascinating and captivating. Most importantly, he will remember you.

How Mirroring Can Sell Lap Dances and VIPs – Part 6

Nov 8 2011
By :

Mirroring is a basic and subtle human tendency to copy another’s expression, movements or posture during conversation or other direct forms of communication.

When people are talking, or simply sharing an experience together, they will often mimic each other’s posture, movements, vocal inflection, or even words or phrases. This subtle show of affinity is called “mirroring,” and though most people are not even aware of performing this social ritual, most people do it quite naturally and consistently. As an exotic dancer, mirroring is a tool that you can become aware of and adept at using to your advantage.

Mirroring is like a communication dance. Participants match gestures and responses during their conversation, as if in a dance. People do this naturally with both their silent body language and spoken words.
